Thursday, January 11th, 2007Este é um comercial do Starbucks nos Estados Unidos que usa uma música muito conhecida (Eye of the tiger, do filme Rocky) para mostrar que para começar um dia e vencer na vida, não tem nada melhor do que um café do Starbucks. É muito engraçado Então vamos aproveitar e aprender algumas expressões usadas no comercial, são muitas! Abaixo segue a letra da música (song lyrics):

man of the hour = o cara do momento
king of his cube = o rei de seu cubículo (o rei de seu mundo)
status call reports have finally met their rival = status call reports (um tipo de relatório que deve ser bem chato ou difícil de fazer) agora já conhecem o seu rival (Glen, que vai fazê-los com eficiência)
burn the candle at both ends = trabalhar ou fazer outras coisas desde cedo até tarde da noite, ficando bem cansado.
on his way to the top = no seu caminho para o sucesso (profissional)
